The market’s winter hours through April will be 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Twenty vendors are participating in the winter market, offering seasonal local vegetables and fruits, a wide variety of baked goods, meats (including both grass-fed and grain-finished beef, chicken, and pork and sausages and salami), pickles, and some ready-to-eat meal items and snacks. It’s the place to buy fresh, locally grown or produced foods free of preservatives, antibiotics and other chemicals.
Four new vendors have joined this winter farmers market in Westover – Meatcrafters Market (sausage and finely cured salamis), DC Dills (pickles), Balsamo’s Family Kitchen (salad dressing) and Shamali (hummus). All four will be located on the plaza. Indeed, all market vendors other than Mama’s Donut Bites and farm vendors will be up on the plaza during the winter.
